SKIN | Emily Abdy

SKIN is an installation originally created for International Women’s Day 2020 in collaboration with composer Emily Abdy.

The installation was based upon a previous work by Emily and explores the themes of body image and acceptance.

SKIN comprises a series of combined audio/visual vignettes which are played back randomly in different areas of the space. There are also four pairs of headphones in the space, each playing back a different interview, recorded by Emily, discussing the interviewees perception of their body.

The installation was created using Pure Data and QLab.
