Open Union is an experimental music duo consisting of composer/performers Peter Bell (Modular Synthesizer) and Patrick Ellis (Electric Guitar).

We commission and perform new, flexible, open-ended works which are a basis for collaborative relationships and sonic experimentation. As performers, our equipment and instruments are constantly evolving. This means that all commissioned works have to be adaptable to a constantly varying sound palette; creating a scenario where each performance represents a slight evolution from the last. We see these works as living pieces that are created and maintained through ongoing collaborative relationships and dialogue with the composers.
