It will soon be March which means Birmingham Conservatoire’s Frontiers Festival is just round the corner. This year the festival is running from 4th – 18th March, with concerts and gigs happening all over Birmingham. You can see the full schedule of events on the frontiers website.
I’m having my new piece “Phanphares” premiered by the conservatoire’s Creative Ensemble on 15th March as part of the festival. Details for the concert can be found here.
Here’s a quick update about what I’m going to be up to over the next month.
My new composition “The Alleged Lilac” will be premiered by Birmingham Conservatoire’s Thallein Plus Ensemble on 19th February at Birmingham Conservatoire as part of a concert of new works by students from the composition department.
I have also been working with the Birmingham School of Acting to provide original music for their upcoming production of Romeo & Juliet, which is set in 1920s Birmingham. The show will run between 24th – 27th February at the Birmingham Hippodrome (Patrick Centre). You can find more information by clicking here.
Having realised that nothing really exists nowadays unless it’s on the internet I have decided to start a blog. My plan as of right now is to use said blog to keep the world at large up to date on my musical and creative antics as well as whatever interesting things I can find to write about.
